“Does Removing Paper Contracts Break Down World Boundaries?”
At TESEN, we’ve always valued connections between people. We see individuality as points, and when these points meet, they form lines and eventually a larger circle. As we enter our seventh year, we aim to expand that circle, allowing anyone, anywhere, to connect with TESEN. To achieve this, we’ve decided to eliminate paper contracts. This doesn’t mean there will be no agreements with our residents; instead, we’re shifting from in-person, paper-based contracts to an online process, enabling people to sign agreements from anywhere in the world.
A Future Seen Through the Eyes of Residents
Over the years, more than 150 residents from over 30 countries and regions have lived in TESEN’s share houses. Japan, as an island nation with a unique language and culture, can seem daunting to those coming for the first time. Many may feel uncertain or uneasy before their arrival. By allowing residents to finalize their contracts online from their home countries, we hope to ease these anxieties, giving them peace of mind as they secure their living arrangements before arriving in Japan.
A Future Seen Through TESEN’s Lens
While cherishing the connections we’ve built so far, we see this as an opportunity to broaden our network even further. For those who need a contract before arrival or want to review share house rules and agreement details in advance, we can now cater to their needs. At TESEN, we believe that simply transitioning from paper to electronic contracts isn’t exciting enough. Instead, we’re driven by the goal of breaking down boundaries and fostering new connections through this shift. Together, let’s envision the future TESEN is building!
