Christmas was over and the share house was in the year-end mode. New Year’s Eve came and went in the blink of an eye. There were even a few people in the share house going home to their parents. The remaining members decided to have a Sukiyaki Party !
I’d like to tell everyone about it here. Sukiyaki (Hot-pot dish) in a share house is very different. This is because everyone has their own likes and dislikes. Some people don’t like vegetables, some don’t like meat. lol
Aside from the fact that the ingredients were so varied that it turned out to be a Hot-pot dish that wasn’t “Sukiyaki”. But we all had a great time! Some of the foreigners couldn’t hide their surprise at the idea of eating raw eggs. lol
After dinner, We all went to a nearby shrine. Foreigners were glued to the food stalls. It was so cute to see my almost 2 meter tall share mate licking a candy apple. Of course, we also drew fortunes. I remember we all laughed when one of our share mates got the result “You should move next year”!
The shrine was crowded and we had to wait quite a while before we could pray. Everyone was in good spirits at the beginning, but their bodies were getting cold and there was an aura of wanting to go home as soon as possible. I heard later that the members who went to Sumiyoshi Taisha waited for three hours for pray. It was torture for me, as I don’t like the cold. I’m glad I didn’t go. lol
When we got home, we fought over the shower. It’s scary how serious adults can be. I really like share houses like this, where every day is like a school trip!
