This is SHU, the management staff of Osaka Share House.
I work in a share house, and I’m writing a series of novels at my leisure.
“What kind of place is a share house? “What kind of life can I expect?
I’m writing this novel for those who are wondering.
It’s a fictionalized version of non-fiction.
Would you like to take a look at life in a share house with me?
I hope that the wonderful things that happen in a share house will reach as many people as possible.
I hope to bring a rich life to as many people as possible.

“I’d like to see a share house.”
I haven’t been back to my parents’ house for holidays this year, so maybe it’s because I have too much time on my hands.
Suddenly, I received a message from my mother.
My mother, who usually doesn’t talk about what she wants to do, wants to see a share house. The cicadas are singing.
I’ll just read it for now.
I thought it would be nice to let her know that I’m alive and well by reading her message.
Such a thoughtless and self-centered idea was never going to reach me, and I received a flood of messages from my mother.
At the time, I didn’t think that my mother, who hated smartphones, would be able to use it so well.
“Hey.
“Are you alive?”
“You only read but don’t reply?
The notifications kept piling up.
When the number of notifications reached two digits, I pressed the call button.
“Yes. Hello. What is it?” I couldn’t get rid of my habit of answering in an unsociable manner.
“I’d like to take a look at the share house you’re living in. My mother replied.
“Why is that?” I asked bluntly.
“I’m at the station closest to the share house,” she said. The melody of a train leaving the platform is playing.
“I changed my shoes, saying, “Yeah, it’s really steep.
When I got to the ticket gate, my mother was waiting for me, petting a stranger’s Shiba Inu.
There she was, my mother as usual, overcoming the barriers of strangers with her bare feet.
I thought to myself, “My mom would be perfect for a share house.
“It’s too sudden to come,” I said. I said. My eyes met with the dog.
“Isn’t this dog cute? It looks like the dog I used to have. My mother said. Our conversations didn’t mesh.
“We laughed it off and headed for the share house.
I walked alongside my mother.
The usual path feels a little longer.
The usual scenery looks a little different.
We arrived in front of the share house. Or should I say, “We’ve arrived.
“This is the house I live in.” I exaggeratedly held out my hand to introduce myself.
And then, one of my share mates came running out of the front door with her shoes hooked on her heels.
“Oh, hello! My daughter is always looking after you. She bows her head diagonally to the lower right. Suddenly, my mother is outwardly polite.
“Good afternoon!” My share mate replied in a gymnastic manner.
Sensing the hurry of my share mates, I said, “I’m sorry.
My mother smiled and said, “Have a good day.
“I’ll show you around. I tell my mother.
I open the door to the share house.
For some reason, my feet don’t seem to touch the floor. I feel lightheaded.
My mother stumbles forward as if it were her own house.
The eyes of all of my share mates in the living room and kitchen turned to me.
“Hello, I’m sorry to bother you…”
For a moment, everyone’s anticipation that I was a new tenant, as well as their sense of turmoil, disappeared when my face peeked out from behind my mother.
“Is everyone having fun at the share house?”
“How long have you been living here?” And suddenly the interview with my mom begins.
Everyone answered without hesitation.
As it was evening, all of my share mates were preparing dinner.
I felt a little bad for them at dinner time.
When I looked towards the kitchen, I saw my mother holding a knife and chopping green onions. Why is she laughing?
It looked like we were going to have takoyaki together tonight.
My mother was ready to join in, chopping green onions like she was hosting a party.
She seems to fit right in with my housemates. It was as if my mother had lived here all her life.
“Do you have enough taco?” “Do you want to add something other than octopus? “Do we have enough octopus?
In the end, my mother ate 20 takoyaki and took a cab home.
It was around midnight when I noticed.
My mother had arrived home safely.
I received a text message from her.
“You live in a nice place, don’t you?
Later, I found out that my mother had lived in a dormitory when she was a student. I didn’t know that.
My mother doesn’t talk much about herself.
When she was eating takoyaki, she looked very happy.
Maybe it brought back some of her memories of living in the dormitory.
My mother and I.
I thought we didn’t look much alike, but we both like living together and people.
I was a little tired of my mother’s mysterious energy, but I was a little happy to see where I lived.
And that I was blessed with wonderful friends who accepted my mother’s sudden visit.
